My work often begins in a personal condition, understanding my own experiences through visual image and progressing to acknowledge that these feelings are not just mine. The ultimate goal of my work is to provide comfort not just to myself, but also to others. Because of this process of realising ideas, my environment, interactions, and connections with others have a significant impact on how my work is generated. My ideas have frequently been realised through moving image and projection, but I have recently blended these mediums with painting and photography. This technique arose from an interest not just in the linkages between art and technology, but also the boundaries of physical and digital.
My curatorial practice focuses on making art accessible through clear, inclusive language and relevant themes. I prioritise creating exhibitions that engage diverse audiences, whether experienced or new to the art world. I also explore digital mediums to expand access, curating virtual and interactive works that reach a global audience. Digital exhibitions allow for innovative, immersive experiences that can be explored anytime and anywhere, breaking down traditional barriers and broadening the scope of artistic engagement.
